r.i.p. elliott smith
today is the 3 year anniversary of elliott smith's death... and that wickedly sucks.
although my b-day (& my bro's b-day) just passed last week, i think for the past few years october has been a shitty month for some of us... i know tim (2stripe) would definitely agree. i don't want to bring up personal issues of others' that aren't my own, but i hope some of you that i know well offline understand what i'm talking about.
like i said before, i don't want to make anyone drudge up anything that don't want to talk about, i guess i'm writing this because i couldn't remember elliott smith's life today without remembering others that passed around the same time, too.
tim gave me his burned copy of xo, & i've been listening to independence day & waltz #2 for days. they're the most amazing songs. i have a 6-cd changer so i've been switching between his self-titled album (NOT called "kill rock stars" tim you fomo, that was just the label he was w/, lol), figure 8 (my personal fave), from a basement on the hill, & xo. i still need to get either/or, roman candle, & some b-sides. truthfully though, everything he created was seriously awesome.
anyhow, i keep nodding off, its late. -z

I know its not called KRS asshead but it was better than writing his
name on it twice. I dont possibly think October could suck any worse
but then again its not over yet. Not only did I have to drive the
Accord today to spend my last 3 dollars on food but Joe left it a mess
with the gas gauge under the line for E, the exhaust leaks now and the
radio stopped working. Awesome. Maybe DNR will come to my house to take
and kill my skunks and then my house will burn down. Then hopefully the
poeple that totalled my Beetle will sue me. |
